Once again, Charles outdid himself on Saturday — coordinating the most fun Philly Marathon adventure for FreeWalkers! It was such an amazing group that came out and we can’t wait to spend time with everyone again soon!
Please visit our FreeWalkers’ website (Link in Bio) for lots more fun upcoming walks — including our Pre-Thanksgiving Gobble Gobble Hike and our upcoming 15th Anniversary Party in January 2025!!!
Sometimes FreeWalkers can’t just stop at one day — we have to make a whole weekend out of it. And we did!
Thanks so much to Ilene and Ed for putting together such an incredible weekend for us in Lewes, Delaware! Gorgeous weather, amazing scenery, and always the best company. And thanks of course to everyone who joined us!
Please check our website (Link in Bio) for our upcoming November and December walks. We would LOVE to have you join us!!! ❤️❤️❤️

We hope you can join us!
What a weekend it was!!! THREE journeys in two days and all completely different ones!!!
On Saturday, Charles took us on a scenic and historic tour of Bristol, Pennsylvania. At the same time, Risa guided us through the South Mountain Reservation, followed by a bagel and picnic chat about the importance of managing stormwater in communities across New Jersey.
And on Sunday, Risa, Ilene, and Loredana showed everyone the best time on our Manhattan to Brooklyn Walk, complete with a stop in Red Hook, the food court in Industry City, and a ferry ride back to Manhattan from the Brooklyn Army Terminal.
Thanks to EVERYONE who shared the fabulous weekend with us (and for bringing the best luck with the weather). See you soon for our upcoming journeys and happy walking in the meantime!
While we are enjoying the amazing new fall weather and still looking forward to our remaining October adventures, it’s never too early to start planning for our November walks. We would love for you to join us in any of these three exciting journeys. Please visit our website (Link in Bio) for more information and to register! And Happy Walking!!!
What an incredible turnout on Saturday for our Philly Mural Walk! Charles Updike completely outdid himself in researching, designing and coordinating our journey — Charles, what would we do without you? Thank you to him and everyone who came out for great art and great company.
See you at our upcoming walks, which can all be found on our website (Link in Bio). And Happy Walking!!!
Putting aside our complete disbelief that next week is already OCTOBER, we cannot wait for the upcoming adventures we have planned for next month.
We would especially love to have you join us for our Bristol Stomp Walk and our two-day weekend of walking fun in Lewes, Delaware. For more info, please feel free to visit our website (Link in Bio)! 🍁🍎👟
While some of us were Striding for our Minds up north, Charles took us on another amazing simultaneous Saturday adventure down the shore — from Sea Isle to Ocean City! Weather was gorgeous, and everyone had a great time. Thank you Charles!!!
FreeWalkers has multiple walks coming up in October in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and Delaware. Please visit our website (Link in Bio) to register for as many walking adventures as you wish!!!
Saturday’s Stride For Your Mind was such a special way to kick off Community Day and Health Fair 2024! Thanks so much to Dr. Olivia Lewis-Chang and everyone who came out for our walk through the beautiful and historic Montrose District in South Orange to raise awareness for mental health and well-being in our community. As Dr. Lewis-Chang emphasized, it is so important to remove the stigma surrounding mental health issues and instead to support each other through life’s challenges as part of one big community. FreeWalkers hopes to continue these Stride For Your Mind collaborations and will keep everyone posted on our next event!
