The turn around point is the Palisades Police Station (restrooms and water) at 1 Alpine Aproach Rd Alpine, NJ
It is closer to 9 miles one way when you add in the walk across the bridge.

"Just added a new stop at Five Boroughs Brewing Co in Sunset Park which, time permitting, we'll head from Industry City to the ferry at the end. The brewery is a bit off the track but worth a visit if we have the time. It's a new option. "
