The FreeWalkers create long distance walking events that are open to the public and are free. We host a social network at http://freewalkers.org where you can keep up with the latest events and learn about past ones. We work with other trail associations, such as the East Coast Greenway (http://greenway.org/) and the NY & NJ Trails Conference (http://nynjtc.org/) and pro-pedestrian groups and support them through public awareness, use of their resources and encouraging donations to their cause.
