Research has pointed out that the way we frame our message to exercise may be a good part of the reason so many people give it up.
It seems that we need to create a message that exercise provides more immediate results that motivate us individually. Instead of promising results in months and years, and vague reasons like avoiding sickness, or as as prescription to a problem, we need to look at other benefits first. Benefits such as more energy, productivity, less stress, social aspects, and even greater happiness trump those other long term health benefits as far as keeping people engaged.
We need to promote "customer loyalty" to exercising all our lives. Hey, that's what we FreeWalkers try to do. Right?
