Coincidentally, this had been on my mind recently with the creation of our new October 1st walk (http://bit.ly/bay2ocean30). But I never really thought about how great an escape it is from the dim reality that weighs on us. But author Andrew Cohen has a great point. Here's a bunch of California surfers turning their energy into traveling all around the world searching for the metaphorical "perfect wave". Its especially revelvant that in 1964 all hell was breaking loose when the movie was made. Here's to keeping your cool, focused and enjoying life when the rest of the world seems to be falling apart.
