I stopped by Duke Farms yesterday to get a feel for the place. It is quite interesting and unique, although I did not have enough time to explore and only spent a hour or so in and around the big barn building.
I'm still trying to get my mind around a group walk on the grounds. The map shows a series of trails and there seems to be a circular general direction to exploring. Are there guides available to lead a group? I saw some indications of an audio tour too but didn't check to see how that works. I picked up some material while there.
While most of our walks are longer, we try to add some variety and shorter distances which could apply. I particularly like the idea of the history, evolution and ecological themes of the place. Are there special seasonal programs going on at different times of the year?

Welcome to the FreeWalkers. I look forward to walking with you.
Duke Farms sounds interesting. Is there resources to help guide and explain a walk? I just briefly visited the website. What's a good time of the year for a walk?
