Charles's album was featuredTR2NB40 2013. Tough and exciting day. In this recovering day, I wish everyone is feeling better! Thank you Green Way and Paul for making TR2NB40 possible! Our group, Henry, Eileen, Pete and Charles came in at 7.20 PM. Wonderful companies! I like to thank all my walking friends, you are the best! You are the reasons that I am doing these walks!

Yeah all you should have done is answer "other" for finish and let me know where. There's a spot for how far you walked in the second question that I work with. In any case, I know you guys finished in Brooklyn but I was curious how you did it and where you finished.
Divina M Arpino said… Love all the pics, Charles. Thank you for taking the time to capture everything for us. I am looking forward to meeting up again for the next walk.
PS...I am still amazed how you just keep going and going despite the blisters and pain.
Paul Kiczek said… I've run into a Chi practitioner and I'd be interested to know more. I've taken a Tai chi class and I still practice in a small way. Maybe you could create a group here in FreeWalkers for Chi Walkers.
Henry Murphy said… For your private album. Eileen thought we looked so worn that we should keep it private. Feel free to send to Pete if you think he would like it. 0406131902.jpg
Henry Murphy said… We enjoyed your company immensely. I have GIGANTIC heel blisters. I will try to post my photos a little later, despite the risk of their being compared with yours, which Eileen and I just finished enjoying. Best, Henry & Eileen

yeah, the app looks like it could really be useful. On the footwear, I use a trail running shoe - Merrill Moabs. You are right that its quite a variety of terrains but I would favor the running shoe over the hiking boot. The trails are not too bad if you are careful and the running shoe gives you more speed which you will need ;-)
Paul Kiczek said… Charles,
Yes, we will wait. I just checked and it looks like it might be 6:59 at Millburn. Regardless, we'll wait till that train comes in. I or someone else will be there to show you where to go directly to pick up the trail.
BTW - there is an earlier train too. #0303 but not sure where it originates. Gets in at 6:35 am.
Paul Kiczek said… Charles nice photos. Create an album and put them in there and I'll move to the front page. I'll check again tomorrow. Thanks for coming today you Ron and Al were great as usual.

Dont know how you guys did it so fast.
I guess we were into more of a rambling mode today.
We finished exactly at 8 - on schedule and I think at the end of the pack. Still. it was a great experience.

Just a few days ago, I noticed, maybe for the first time, the sounds of the Great Canal Walk. For most of the 40 miles and 15 hours that day there was an absence of sound in this body of water as still as glass on that calm day....
