Walk the Walk: Fitness-Adventure-Community-Everyone
| Walker | Thoughts and comments | Suggestions |
| Carolyn Kiczek | I really loved it and the personal challenge it gave me. | Not really. |
| Claudia Acosta | The event was great. Everything was thought of in advanced and handled appropriately. | Advertise a bit more. I think a lot of people would be interested in being a part of these walks. |
| David Ascher | Split the walk into two segments | |
| David Loutzenheiser | Thanks to the ECG for their support! Also thank you Paul for all your efforts in organizing the event! | While I agree that improving the conditions of "intersection hell" for walkers and cyclists is good, I would suggest rerouting the greenway through Branch Brook Park and to the north through Nutley, Passaic, Hackensack and Ft Lee to the GWB. |
| Donna Ellis | would like to try next year | |
| Hilary Parton | It was great that there was so much support from the Greenway on this walk! It's much more than I'm used to from all of the other NYC walks I have done and it was lovely. | Estimation of time points on the itinerary seemed to overestimate speed, but this may have been due to the amount of time spent at rest stops which seemed too long. |
| Jay Freeman | A wonderful way to experience suburban NJ and its parks | |
| Ken Koch | it was an awesome day. noticing the things you never see driving by in a car. | the ecg greenway map was excellent. nice format, easy to read, directions to every turn. if it was waterproof it would have been perfect. a map like that for the second half after newark penn station would have been great. |
| Loredana Delucchi | The walk on Saturday was perfect because it allowed me to rest on Sunday. Without the train ride to the start I wouldn't have been able to participate. Without Ian Hochstead, who guided our group, I could not have done it. Knowing that along the way there were bagels, cookies, water, etc. and someone to call in case we got lost, was comforting. Thank you! | People seemed curious about us. A paper pinned on our backpacks, like those given during races, with words like "The Big Walk" 1 Day, 50 Miles could help raise awareness. |
| Maurice | Hope for future similar events | |
| Orville C McNally Jr | Thank you Paul for keeping this event stepping. | |
| Pat Moran | I met a lot of great new people this time. | How about an option to start about one hour earlier from a location about 4 miles south of Metropark and joining the main group at Metropark? That group would really do 50 miles, as President Kennedy envisioned. |
| Paul Kiczek | it was perfect | |
| Randi Plevy | Had a blast as long as I lasted. Learned my lesson: waterproof hiking shoes for next year! | |
| Risa Olinsky | Always a pleasure -- the people that are attracted to the group are so friendly, non-competitive and helpful. | |
| Ron Palochko | Can't wait until the next event. Loved every minute of it!!!! | |
| SAIDA ZOUGARHI | IT WAS A GREAT EXPERIENCE, I REALLY ENJOYED IT. | |
| Steve Nix | Met some new walkers and very much enjoyed great conversation. | |
| Veronica Pardo | It was a great experience and the maps that were given to us were EXTREMELY helpful! | I think we should organize specific meet up points where people can meet up, because since everyone walks at a different pace, it is easy to fall behind and without the meet up points, it makes it difficult to ever catch up with the rest. |
| Vincent Palochko | Wonderful all around experience. I appreciated every second of the walk. Keep up the excellent work!! | |
| Yon Lee | i thought it had better organization this year. thanks to the east coast greenway for their wonderful assistance. |
