Let's hope for great weather on Saturday.  My husband Jim McRobert and I plan to start with the group and finish probably in Weehawken - we look forward to seeing everybody!

Abhishek,

Love the idea of a collective group. Yeah, sure - walk or run - whatever. I think you'll probably want to ID yourselves. I think it might be something to think about for future walks too.

this is a fun n fitness event, absolutely love the idea! can we have a group walk or a run so as to identify ourselves at the start line???

No, there is no toll on the GWB for walkers (or bicyclists).  I've heard that, long ago, there was a toll for walkers on the Brooklyn Bridge, but I haven't heard of any bridges in the NYC area that currently have a walker toll.

June 9th will be my first time walking with this group and sounds like the June walk is a great way to get introduced! I, like James, look forward to walking over the GWB!  Do we have to pay a toll? .....just sayin :)

The Sounds of a Long Walk

Just a few days ago, I noticed, maybe for the first time, the sounds of the Great Canal Walk. For most of the 40 miles and 15 hours that day there was an absence of sound in this body of water as still as glass on that calm day....
