Event Description
NOTE: All system go tomorrow. A bit warmer. Carpool at Turning Basin 7:00 am - official event start @ Trenton 8:00am. Here's video from last year http://vimeo.com/62035706
A 12-mile walk from city to country. (Formerly called Practice Walk#1) This is 1/2 day warm up for the 40-mile Great Canal Walk (http://TR2NB40.org - 4/6/12). Covers the first leg (1/3) and follows the same East Coast Greenway / D&R Canal towpath. A casual walk to size up the trail and get back into your walking groove.
This is scheduled as a 4.5 hour walk with easy start / finish using trains. At Princeton, options are to go toward town or head to Princeton Junction train station - heading back home. Let us know if you need/or want to offer carpooling.
This is a good alternative for walkers that cannot walk the entire 40-miles on 4/6. Miles walked can be added to your total for the 100-mile Cross-Jersey Walking Challenge (http://crossjerseywalk.org).
Best mass transportation plan is to park at Alexander Rd and D&R Canal parking lot at 7:00 am and get one of us to shuttle you to Princeton Junction train station to catch the 7:27 to Trenton arriving at 7:46. Or, parking is available at the Princeton Junction train station which is less than 2 miles from where our walk ends.

Just got back from my bike ride up the Miss River from New Orleans to Natchez to Tupelo, about 470 miles. Looking forward to seeing everyone.
