Event Description
The FreeWalkers are bring 2011's walking season to a close by having our final get-together in the village of Maplewood this year. We're joining efforts with "SoMa ON FOOT" a great new local walking group promoting the benefits of walking in the communities of Maplewood and South Orange.
Maplewood is a great town in so many ways but among them are some great undiscovered restaurants, convenient to trains and highways and on the border of South Mountain Reservation.
Join us as we descend as a group upon Arturo's Italian Bistro located near the train station. Arturo's a small cozy restaurant (seats 44) with fantastic Italian food (pasta, salads and pizza), may arguably serve the best pizza in the state - and be as good as any in NYC. We will sample the best Arturo's has to offer as we do our own taste test.
Dog tags for The Endless Summer Walk and the LENAPE34 will be distributed. We'll also reminisce about all the 2011 walks and plan for next year.
Dont forget that there is a preceding Maplewood/South Mountain Reservation walk that will end here in time for this event where we can refuel. Sign up separately for that.
NOTE: Arturo's does not accept reservations but we are relying on arriving here 15 minutes ahead of the 4:30 opening. Seating is limited to 44. Be on time. Everyone is going dutch and its BYOB!!!

To all, Please note -- the walk prior to Pizza starts at one of two places:
You can meet us in the village at the Maplewood Trains station or at the So Mt Dog park:
12:45 pm - 1:00 meeting at Station:
1:30 pm meet at Dog Park ( where there is parking as well)
