One-day 16-mile walk along the East Coast Greenway and Long Island Sound from Port Chester to Norwalk. This is a return to a walk we first did two years ago. A popular and convenient walk from the NY/CT border along the coast.
Take the 8:07 AM Metro North local train from Grand Central on the New Haven line. We'll meet on the station platform in Port Chester. The walk ends at another train stop, South Norwalk, on the same line, where you can get a train back to Grand Central.
The walk follows the East Coast Greenway. part of the 3,000 mile east coast multi-purpose trail. The Connecticut coast is known for its beautiful scenery, tranquil connection to the Long Island Sound and for its traditions and wealthy residents. These walks take you past some of the most impressive coastal trails and shorelines you will ever experience.
